Franklin is Coaching Practice Director and executive coach at INSEAD business school. His areas of interest include: Leading Complex Change, Making the Executive Transition and Dealing With Power Dynamics in Leadership Teams.
He is intensively involved in the leadership development component of the Global Executive MBA, delivering both small group and individual coaching interventions. Franklin regularly works with executives in broad range of open and customer specific programmes on all three campuses. As a Coaching Practice Director he also engages with corporate clients on the design and positioning of coaching within larger development programmes.
Prior to his work in executive education, Franklin gained business experience in a variety of industry sectors. He has held senior positions in Shell Oil Company, Dutch Government, Cisco Systems and ATOS. In his last corporate role as Vice President for Executive Development at ABN-AMRO Bank, he worked with global executives and country leadership teams on strategy deployment.
By integrating his business experience and an academic grounding in coaching, Franklin takes leaders on a challenging and eye-opening development journey, while staying close to their business reality.
Franklin holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Development from Tilburg University in The Netherlands, as well as a Bachelor in Human Resources from The Hague University of Applied Sciences. In addition he completed the renowned Coaching &
Consulting for Change programme at INSEAD. He is currently engaged in a Doctorate research study at Oxford Brookes University.
Franklin is a Dutch citizen living in The Hague with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys long distance running with his dog and his other interests include history and Opera.
